Hopscotch Homes

Biography

Hopscotch Homes Limited was created by Michelle and Tim Legg in 2018 to help them realise their goal of providing safe living spaces that people can be proud to call their homes.

With a portfolio currently valued in excess of £600,000, Hopscotch provides both residential homes and houses of multiple occupancy.

Michelle and Tim are professional property investors, accreditated through the National Landlord Association (NLA) and are members of the Residential Landlord Association (RLA). They are also in the final stages of achieving the AQA Diploma in Property Investment through Fielding Financial.

Living in Plymouth, Michelle and Tim have seen first hand how hard the council are trying to regenerate the area. Local priorities include bringing new businesses and investments into the city, which is set to increase the population to over 300,000 by 2021. To support this, there will be a further increased demand for living accommodation. With this in mind, Hopscotch’s initial focus will be to develop its portfolio in the Plymouth area.

Hopscotch primarily provides affordable and safe accommodation options to professionals, some of whom will be living on their own for the first time. Michelle and Tim are looking to support the work of Plymouth City Council through the implementation of their housing strategy, including working with initiatives such as the empty homes project and the specialist housing programme.

Hopscotch has created a strategy whereby it aims to provide, on average, one additional room for rent every month. This will involve carrying out some renovation works, something which Michelle and Tim have successfully completed previously, with a minor renovation project generating a valuation uplift of over £20,000.
